So, yes I did have some hours to make up, AND have had one of those cartoon light bulbs appear over my head with an idea of a project that I could do that would benefit the business and wouldn't completely kill me, in other words, something I could actually get into and complete. I've come up with the idea to make all of the guys Tee-shirts that say "Wicked Artistry, tattoos and piercings" etc... You know, something for them to wear to promote or represent the shop. We've emailed Gina about setting up a meeting this weekend so that we could get the logistics out of the way. I've already made a couple sample ideas.
I only have a couple of pictures on my camera from my WLE but Rose has some that I hope she would be willing to share with me.

Wicked Artistry is a very small business, I can literally name everyone that works there, without running out of breath. Josh, Jason, Ace, Adrian, Gina. There used to be Nate too but he moved. And Gina doesn't necessarily 'work' there, she owns the place. Josh, Jason and Ace, they're the tattoo artists. And Adrian, he's the piercer. He always gets sad when signs only say "Tattoos" instead of "& Piercings"
And of course as the job requires, the boys all have some sort of body modification, like Jason and his random Hello Kitty tattoo, and Adrian with his oh so shiny septum piercing. I mean, I would hate to get a tattoo from someone who hasn't gone through the process.
Oh, and to be a tattoo artist you have through go through a halogen (pathogen?), I believe it is, program. Some sort of annually renewed certification saying you actually know what you are doing and know how to do it in a sterile way.

Well, looking at other people's blogs I've realized that I don't actually say very much in my, so I apologize for that. They again I could put long babbling posts that repeat themselves over again just to make my blog look like I spent hours and hours slaving over a mildly warm keyboard, but I doubt that would be any more convincing that my little blurbs that still don't really say much more than they need to, other than this one of course. I also noticed that rose decided to use the exact same theme for her blog which for me means I either have to change mine or risk looking like a copy-cat. But I'm thinking about risking the copy cat thing. I had at least changed the headline picture. Not the point I'm assuming.
Oh, and this was my favorite,

oh yes, this blog entry, "Description of my workplace"
ahha, that made me laugh. I hope they intend to fix that in the future, that was their entire post.

But basically, yeah. My blog sucks, blah blah blah.

So, by the middle of January I was still set solely on doing a website. (although in retrospect, I realize it was too big of a project to take on) But basically we were nowhere with the website, and all we did was ask each other what we should do while getting absolutely nowhere on the project. Simple as that.

Friday the 17, sadly, my migraine got the best of me and I wasn't able to actually go to the shop. :( Tragic, I know. It's the end of the world!!! BAH!!!! *cough* anyway... And I cant think exactly how many hours I have but I know I'll have to do at least a little bit of makeup by the end of this whole thing

Leadership skills, eh?
Well... tough one...
Well, we've had to collaborate effectively, Rose and I, to make a sign for the shop (which I have yet to see in use so I'm assuming it died)
And the difference between being a student and an Intern is... As an Intern, you have to watch what other people do to learn how things work, or they show you the brushes, and tell you to use them to clean barrels and then to seal them in these plastic bags and then put them on a tray and then into the oven-esk thing. As a student, you listen to teachers talk, or read words off of

So, the 29th and the 30th of October were pretty stressful, considering that Wicked was having its Opening Party on the 30th, rain or shine. (sadly, rain) But me and Rose both worked that Friday and some time on SAturday to make sure we could help it go as smoothly as possible.

As for the prompt,
Wicked Artistry serves anyone in the community who wants a piercing or tattoo, as vague or awkward as that may sound. And for strengths and weaknesses? A strength of theirs has got to be the atmosphere they've created. For the guacamole colored walls that seem to have some sort of soothing property, to the guys that have nothing better to do than play Xbox and the chill way they greet people as they enter the shop. Now a weakness, which will get better with time, is how known they are. Some days they only have one or two people come in.

October 8th was our 'Shadow Day' and on the 15th we focused mainly on learning how to sterilize tattoo equipment, and the same for the 22 only we also distributed flyers for their Grand Opening party.
That was one of our busier days at the shop.

So, this was the day that we actually went to the shop and met with Gina. We did the initial paperwork and all of that. the only reason me and Rose were actually able to get this internship is because my mom was friends with the shop's owner, Gina, when they were in high school.
